DESCRIPTION:What is the contemporary value of “stommism” developed in the conditions of communism and Soviet domination over Poland? \nCan we still apply concepts such as ‘minimalism’\, ‘reason of state’\, ‘compromise’\, ‘strategy of small steps’ in contemporary politics? \nCan reconciliation between nations survive despite a difficult past returning like a boomerang? \nDoes “pursuit of hope” have to lose to the “fatalism of hostility” so prominent in today’s politics? \nPublishing Social Institute “Znak”\, “Tygodnik Powszechny” clubs\, the Regional Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Brussels and Polish Science Contact Agency\, invite you to the meeting Is another policy possible? Heritage of prof. Stanisław Stomma in European politics\, which will take place on Tuesday\, 12th November 2019. The event will be held in the European Parliament (ASP building\, room A3F83) at 17.45. \nIn the discussion panel participation: prof. Radosław Ptaszyński\, author of the book “Stommizm. Political biography of Stanisław Stommy. “(University of Szczecin)\, dr hab. Małgorzata Molęda-Zdziech (Polish Science Contact Agency)\, Henryk Woźniakowski (Znak Publishing House) and dr Jan Olbrycht (Member of the European Parliament).
