Polish Science Contact Agency of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PolSCA<\/strong>) together with Czech Liaison Office for Education & Research (CZELO<\/strong>), National Research, Development and Innovation Office Hungary (NRDIO<\/strong>) and Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development (SLORD<\/strong>) are pleased to invite you to the annual joint event under the Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group entitled ‘<\/strong>V4 Conference 2021 – <\/strong>Earth Observations for citizens and the planet’ <\/strong>on R&I contributions to the Copernicus programme to be held on<\/strong> 29 June 2021 at 13.30 (CEST).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of the V4 Conference 2021<\/strong> is to bring together a wide range of actors involved in\u00a0research and innovation<\/strong> in the field of Earth Observations (EOs)<\/strong> with a particular focus on Visegrad Group. In brief, the event shall provide a framework to review a key role of research and innovation for the Copernicus programme.<\/p>\n

Participants will learn about the coordinated European approach to maximize the use of Earth Observation products and services to steer resilient and green transition for all Europeans and to safeguard our planet. In order to put a spotlight on the CEE space sector, a special session will feature success stories of V4-based projects, researchers and organisations involved in developing, deploying and using global space-based infrastructures, applications and data for Earth monitoring. These will exemplify important contributions of the V4-based sector to the European Green Deal and Space Strategy for Europe. Finally, a roundtable discussion with key European EO actors and stakeholders is planned to discuss the current status and future challenges regarding the research and innovation activities for and within a Copernicus programme.<\/p>\n

The event shall also serve as an opportunity for networking, mobilising and reinforcing cooperation <\/strong>between European scientists & innovators, research organisations & industry sector as well as various actors in the field of\u00a0Earth Observations.<\/p>\n

The event is opened to everyone interested in the field<\/strong>, both in terms of evolution of services for Copernicus, as well as development of applications and using the Eos data.<\/p>\n
