Competitions for a total amount of EUR 13.5 billion will be announced over the next two years, as part of the Work Programmes 2023-24. Each of the Work Programs contain information on <strong>topics, budgets and schedules of competitions<\/strong> for research and innovation projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/polsca.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/HE-Work-Programme-adopted-visual_6.12.22.jpeg\" alt=\"Obrazek posiada pusty atrybut alt; plik o nazwie HE-Work-Programme-adopted-visual_6.12.22.jpeg\" width=\"838\" height=\"838\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 31%\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"394\" height=\"549\" src=\"https:\/\/polsca.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/hub-horizon.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10098 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/polsca.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/hub-horizon.png 394w, https:\/\/polsca.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/hub-horizon-215x300.png 215w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">As part of the broader EU \u20ac95.5 billion research and innovation programme, <a href=\"https:\/\/research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu\/funding\/funding-opportunities\/funding-programmes-and-open-calls\/horizon-europe_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Horizon Europe<\/strong><\/a>, this funding will contribute to the EU reaching its&nbsp;climate goals, increasing&nbsp;energy resilience, and developing&nbsp;core digital technologies. It will also address targeted actions to&nbsp;support Ukraine, boost economic resilience and contribute to a sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. It will help to achieve a stronger European research and innovation ecosystem, including through wider participation of researchers and innovators across Europe, greater mobility, and funding for world class research infrastructures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The publication covers the following funding lines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions<\/li><li>Research Infrastructures<\/li><li>the 6 thematic Clusters<\/li><li>EU Missions<\/li><li>European Innovation Ecosystems<\/li><li>Widening participation and strengthening the ERA<\/li><li>European Innovation Council (EIC)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>European Research Council (ERC)<\/strong> work programme for 2023 was already published in July this year (<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/docs\/2021-2027\/horizon\/wp-call\/2023\/wp_horizon-erc-2023_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>link<\/strong><\/a>). The ERC Work Programme 2024 is expected in summer 2023, while ERC Council decided on changes to the ERC\u2019s application forms and evaluation procedures for the 2024 calls (<a href=\"https:\/\/erc.europa.eu\/news-events\/news\/erc-scientific-council-decides-changes-evaluation-forms-and-processes-2024-calls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>link<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2023 \u2013 2024, for the first time, a larger share of the topics in the thematic clusters will also be advertised with <strong>lump-sum funding<\/strong>. For these calls for proposals, special conditions apply, including a higher page limit for the proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PolSCA points out that the lump-sum methodology will also be used extensively across the the Widening part of the WP, in which only institutions from the so-called widening countries become project coordinators. Applicants submitting a pre-proposal for the topics marked in this way are not allowed to include the names, acronyms, logos, etc. of their institutions or names of persons involved in the proposal in part B.
