On 9th December 2019 in East Poland House in Brussels the screening of the \u201cThe Journalist\u201d documentary movie took place. The screening was organized by the Polish Science Contact Agency and the Regional Office of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Brussels, operating within the East Poland House initiative.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The movie is about journalist \u2013 Leopold Unger, for whom journalism was a profession, a craft, a way of life, but also a great passion. Leopold Unger published his articles in \u2018\u017bycie Warszawy\u2019 until emigration in 1969, then in the Belgian daily \u2018Le Soir\u2019. He was a regular collaborator of the Paris \u201cCulture\u201d and Radio Free Europe, he regularly printed comments in the \u201cInternational Herald Tribune\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is more, this documentary is also an attempt to answer the question what is the serious journalism and what is the condition of modern journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening was followed by discussion <\/strong>with the film director – Mr. Mateusz Kasiak, and the film producer – Mr. Tomasz Biadu\u0144. <\/strong>Mr. Kasiak told the audience about his personal motivations and inspirations to make the movie, empahsizing many times “the additional value” of this project. Mr. Biadu\u0144 stressed out that for him, Leopold Unger is a perfect example of solid journalism which is urgently needed nowadays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All guests were invited for the <\/strong>evening cocktail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
