The Ulam Programme – Seal of Excellence is the first nationwide instrument in Poland that supports research projects with the Seal of Excellence certificate obtained under the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships program. The objective is to help incoming researchers to develop their careers by intensifying international mobility and to allow them to establish scientific cooperation with excellent host institutions in Poland. Only applications under the MSCA-IF 2019 edition which received the Seal of Excellence certificate will be considered. The call for applications is open until October 15, 2020. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Who is eligible to submit an application?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application under the Program shall be submitted individually by a scientist with at least a doctoral degree or an equivalent degree obtained abroad, who, together with the institution of the Polish higher education and science system <\/strong>(including universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/strong>, PAU, international scientific institutes), has obtained the Seal of Excellence certificate under the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships programme, 2019 edition<\/strong>. NAWA recognizes the SoE certificate as a binding verification of the quality of the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complete application including all required attachments must be prepared in English. It may only be submitted electronically under the NAWA ICT system<\/a>. The deadline for submitting applications is October 15, 2020 at 15.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the\nproject implementation period and funding under the program?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of the tasks described in the\napplication shall commence not earlier than December 1, 2020, and not later\nthan on June 1, 2021. Noteworthy, if the implementation of projects will not be\npossible within the planned schedule due to travel restrictions related to the\nCOVID-19 pandemic, implementation of the project will be adapted to the\nsituation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program covers the costs of a research stay in Poland, which may last from 12 to 24 months<\/strong>. Funding under the program includes a monthly scholarship<\/strong> for the duration of a research stay in the Polish host institution, including the living cost of the fellow, a mobility allowance and a training allowance. Detailed terms and conditions for scholarshipo payments, documenting expenses and settling the scholarship are included in the program regulations, which can be downloaded below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
