The primary focus of that webinar was to familiarize the audience with Open Science (OS) policy and Open Access (OA), and their role in project proposals, research management and in valorization of research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThis time, with Open Science in practice: publishing strategies & platforms<\/strong> we would like to focus on current tendencies and add to a public discussion stimulated by recent Council\u2019s Conclusions<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> on ensuring high-quality, transparent, open, trustworthy, and equitable scholarly publishing <\/strong>\u2013 so far statements referring to Council Conclusions were issued by (among others) LERU<\/a> <\/mark>– the League of European Research Universities, the Guild<\/a> <\/mark>of European Research-Intensive Universities, CESAER<\/mark><\/a> – Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research, and – in the form of joint response<\/a><\/mark> – by EUA, Science Europe, LIBER, ALLEA, AERG, MCAA, Eurodoc, cOAlition S, OPERAS, and ANR.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWe will start the webinar with the presentation on the European Research Area <\/mark><\/strong><\/a>(ERA) Policy Agenda & the Council Conclusions on Open Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\nNext, representatives of the European Commission as well as European and Polish stakeholders will take part in the discussion panel on Open Science practices towards maximising the impact of the EU funding and strengthening the principles of the ERA that aims to create a single, borderless market for research, innovation, and technology across the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, we would like to deepen the knowledge of the audience on publishing models, Open Access, and practicalities of publishing with Open Research Europe <\/mark><\/strong><\/a>platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nThe main objective of the activities undertaken as part of the PolSCA Webinar series<\/strong> is to strengthen the knowledge of the EU framework programme for research and innovation \u2013 Horizon Europe<\/a><\/strong><\/mark> (HE) among representatives of the scientific community of the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/a><\/mark><\/strong> (PAS). The participation in Horizon Europe (2021-2027) will undoubtedly be a great challenge for scientists and research units in Poland, including employees of the PAS Institutes. Yet, Horizon Europe programme, with a budget of EUR 95.5 billion, clearly provides a great opportunity to implement ambitious R&D projects, largely based on multilateral scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The synergy of various activities initiated within the PASIFIC programme<\/a><\/mark><\/strong> under the PAS headquarters, combined with dissemination and training activities undertaken by the PolSCA Office in accordance with its mission shall contribute to increasing the effective participation of the research institutes of the PAS in projects funded under Horizon Europe<\/a><\/strong><\/mark>.
