The Polish Science Contact Agency (PolSCA)<\/strong> of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels is hosting a next meeting within \u201cWebinar series on Horizon Europe\u201d. <\/strong>The main purpose of this particular webinar will be to present cluster 6: \u201cFood, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment\u201d of Horizon Europe<\/strong>. The current research and innovation funding opportunities in this part of the framework program are set out in the Work Program for 2021-2022<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to our special guests: representatives of the European Commission, Mission Boards and National Contact Point (NCBR\/KPK),<\/strong> the meeting attendees will strengthen their knowledge about priorities, specific objectives and expected impact of the cluster 6 as well as about the funding opportunities within 7 destinations of the cluster for 2022<\/a><\/strong>. Moreover, the participants will be given detailed insight into the evaluation novelties under cluster 6 with a special attention to Do Not Significant Harm criterion. This will be followed by testimonials of the Polish researchers sharing their experiences gained from the Horizon 2020 funded grants. Eventually, Mission Boards members will present closely related to cluster 6: Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters<\/a><\/strong> and EU Mission Soil deal for Europe<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is open only to academics and research managers of the Polish Academy of Sciences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webinar will take place online on November 30, 2021 (Tuesday) from 9.30 – 13.00<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the activities undertaken as part of the PolSCA Webinar series on Horizon Europe<\/strong> is to strengthen the knowledge of the EU framework programme for research and innovation – Horizon Europe (HE)<\/strong><\/a> among representatives of the scientific community of the Polish <\/strong><\/a>Academy<\/strong><\/a> of Sciences (PAS<\/strong>)<\/a>. The participation in Horizon Europe (2021-2027) will undoubtedly be a great challenge for scientists and research units in Poland, including employees of the PAS Institutes. Yet, Horizon Europe programme, with a budget of EUR 95.5 billion, provides clearly a great opportunity to implement ambitious R&D projects, largely based on multilateral scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The synergy of various activities initiated within the PASIFIC<\/strong><\/a> programme under the PAS headquarters, combined with dissemination and training activities undertaken by the PolSCA Office<\/strong><\/a> in accordance with its mission shall contribute to increasing the effective participation of the research institutes of the PAS in projects funded under Horizon Europe. In order to further enable that, PolSCA is involved in building and strengthening an informal support network<\/strong> dedicated to scientists and research managers of PAS institutes in the context of the EU framework program for research and innovation, with an emphasis on Horizon Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PolSCA initiated the roll-out of these webinars in the first half of the 2021. The kick-off meeting<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>included the general introduction to Horizon Europe and a national support system. This was followed by a general introduction to the HE pillar II<\/a>, <\/strong>including strategic planning, missions and partnerships. In the second half of 2021, a number of follow-up webinars are being delivered by PolSCA team ranging from a detailed overview of selected clusters, to various HE instruments (e.g. Widening <\/strong><\/a>measures<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\t
