Polish Science Contact Agency PolSCA of the Polish Academy of Science in Brussels together with the NCBR Office in Brussels \u2013 Business & Science Poland, invite you to the webinar \u201cFrom blue-sky research into breakthrough innovations. How to enable synergies between the European Research Council (ERC) and the European Innovation Council (EIC)” <\/strong>whichtakes place on Thursday 16 December at 10h00.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This virtual event will be directed to the research and innovation community in Europe and focus on the European Research Council (ERC)<\/strong> and its Proof of Concept grant scheme and the new European Innovation Council (EIC)<\/strong> and its transition activities, especially in the context of broadening cooperation between frontier science and breakthrough innovation. The ERC PoC helps grantees to bridge the gap between their pioneering research and early phases of its commercialization and EIC Transition funds support innovation activities that go beyond the experimental proof of principle in the laboratory. It will be also a great opportunity to present current (and future) incentives for the ERC grantees themselves or their team\u2019s members to apply for the EIC funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among our guest we will have keynote speakers: Prof. Kurt Mehlhorn<\/strong>, Director of the MPI for Informatics and Professor at Saarland University, Chair of the Working Group on innovation and relations with industry of the ERC Scientific Council and Dr \u0160pela Stres<\/strong>, Head of Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation, Jo\u017eef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, member of the newly established EIC Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
