The Polish Science Contact Agency (PolSCA)<\/strong> of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels is hosting a next meeting within \u201cWebinar series on Horizon Europe\u201d<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary focus of this webinar is on open science<\/strong> (OS) policy and open access <\/strong>(OA) and their role in research project management and in valorisation of research results. In alignment with 8 ambitions of the EU\u2019s open science policy<\/strong><\/a>, the webinar aims to broaden the knowledge on the logic of maximising the impacts of the EU research & innovation funding, derived from the Implementation Strategy for Horizon Europe<\/strong><\/a>, and principles of the European Research Area<\/a> <\/strong>(ERA) that aims to create a single, borderless market for research, innovation and technology across the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As both project planning and management as well as communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities are crucial for Horizon Europe projects, making research data FAIR <\/strong>(Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Re-usable) is set to become the default for the results of EU-funded scientific research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the open access as a practice of providing online access to scientific information that is free of charge and reusable, the <\/a>European Open Science Cloud<\/a> <\/strong>(EOSC) delivers space where researchers, innovators, companies, and citizens can publish, find and (re)use data for research, innovation, and educational purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the Open Research Europe<\/a> i<\/strong>s an open access publishing platform for the publication of research stemming from Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe funding across all subject areas, that is established to boost the communication, dissemination, and exploitation of the research results of projects funded under Horizon Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

FAIR data and the European Open Science Cloud<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open Science in practice of data management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dissemination & Exploitation Strategy \u2013 using Horizon Results Booster and the Horizon Results Platform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The event is open only to academics and research managers of the Polish Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webinar will take place online on November 10, 2022 (Thursday) from 9.30 \u2013 12.30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the activities undertaken as part of the PolSCA Webinar series<\/strong> is to strengthen the knowledge of the EU framework programme for research and innovation \u2013 Horizon Europe (HE)<\/strong><\/a> among representatives of the scientific community of the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/strong><\/a> (PAS). <\/strong>The participation in Horizon Europe (2021-2027) will undoubtedly be a great challenge for scientists and research units in Poland, including employees of the PAS Institutes. Yet, Horizon Europe programme, with a budget of EUR 95.5 billion, clearly provides a great opportunity to implement ambitious R&D projects, largely based on multilateral scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The synergy of various activities initiated within the PASIFIC<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>programme under the PAS headquarters, combined with dissemination and training activities undertaken by the PolSCA Office<\/strong><\/a> in accordance with its mission shall contribute to increasing the effective participation of the research institutes of the PAS in projects funded under Horizon Europe. To further enable that, PolSCA is involved in building and strengthening an informal support network <\/strong>dedicated to scientists and research managers of the PAS institutes in the context of the EU framework program for research and innovation, with an emphasis on Horizon Europe<\/p>\n\n\n
