The House of European History, the Polish Institute in Brussels, EUNIC Brussels, Alliance Francaise, British Council and the Polish Science Contact Agency in Brussels are pleased to invite you for the event ‘For A New European Social Contract United For Social Cohesion’, which will take place on 5th November, 2019 at the House of European History (Rue Belliard 135, Brussels).

“For A New European Social Contract” project is a series of discussions that aim to rethink the social contract, so that it no longer relies on the relationship between citizens and the state but goes beyond by taking into account the different dimensions of life today and the crucial issues citizens are facing. The main purpose of the event is to discuss the drivers and barriers  in terms of building social cohesion, the role of scientists in this process, as well as possible ways to strengthen the bond between the inhabitants of the European Union, civil society and EU countries.

Guests invited to participate in the panel discussion: Jacqui Broadhead (Director, Global Exchange on Migration and Diversity, University of Oxford), Yves Sintomer (Paris 8 University) and the Director of the PolSCA Office, Małgorzata Molęda-Zdziech. The discussion will be moderated by Kélig Puyet, who is the Director of Social Platform.

The event is open but registration is required. Registration link available here.

Details of the event can be found on the Polish Institute website.
