Polish Returns NAWA – call for applications until July 29!

Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) announces the call for applications in the Polish Returns NAWA program. The aim of this initiative is to enable outstanding Polish scientists to return to the country and take up employment in Polish universities, research institutes or research institutes, where they will have the opportunity to create their own project groups and conduct research.

Polish Returns is aimed both at young scientists (for whom the Junior Scientist path is provided) and experienced researchers (Experienced scientist). A person who:

  • has Polish citizenship
  • has at least a doctoral degree (for the Junior Scientist path obtained no earlier than 7 years before submitting the application)
  • in the period specified in the vacancy notice, she worked as a researcher at a foreign university, research institute or research department of the enterprise and at that time did not live or work in Poland
  • can demonstrate scientific achievements that are internationally recognized and distinguishable in the context of the discipline and career stage
  • as part of her research work abroad, she managed the implementation of at least one research project selected in a national and international competition (for the Experienced scientist path).
