Brainstorming the Future of Brain Health

On 12th November 2024, the NCBR/BSP in Brussels hosted a pivotal event titled „Brainstorming the Future of BRAIN HEALTH: Research, Collaboration, Impact”. This event gathered almost 60 internationally renowned experts and guestes to explore new frontiers in brain health research, focusing on the expected impacts of the upcoming European Partnership for Brain Health.

Key elements discussed during the meeting:

· Interdisciplinary Research: Understanding the brain’s functionality and the influence of environmental, societal, and technological factors.

· Collaboration: Enhancing European and global research efforts with a focus on accuracy, innovation, ethics, and vision.

· Infrastructure: Building critical mass for progress through infrastructures, cooperation, and policy.

· Challenges: Transforming research into clinical practice and addressing the need for international cooperation and funding.

· Future Vision: Uniting stakeholders’ voices and envisioning the future brain health partnership.

The event was a significant step towards shaping the future of brain health research and collaboration in Europe, emphasizing the importance of a holistic and inclusive approach to brain health.
