Recap of the Focus on ERC: study visit for Polish research organizations.

We are delighted to share the success of the study visit organized by the Polish Science Contact Agency „PolSCA” of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels, in collaboration with the Excellence in Science Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Biuro Doskonałości Naukowej, BDN PAN). This remarkable event took place from November 22-24, 2023, attracting participants from distinguished Polish research organizations eager to develop their knowledge and understanding of ERC grants and increase the capacity of their organizations in applying for those prestigious funding schemes.

“V4 Training for Research Project Managers” – Summary of the Autumn 2023 edition

In November, another – already the fourteenth – edition of the ‘V4 Training for Research Project Managers’.  This is the PolSCA Office’s flagship training course aimed at supporting and developing managers of European research projects (primarily Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) working at universities, scientific and research institutes in departments responsible for acquisition, management and reporting. We organise them together with the Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation (CZELO), the National Research, Development and Innovation Office in Hungary (NRDIO) and the Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development (SLORD).

Outstanding Research Careers conference

The conference on Outstanding Research Careers will take place on Tuesday, 28 November 2023 in the premises of the Nordic House in Brussels. This event will be hosted by V4 Research & Innovation in Brussels with the participation of the Young European Universities Network (YERUN).

“Copernicus Dialogues” – the focus of Polish-Italian Cooperation. First conference of the series in the area of biomedicine

The first conference of the series “Copernicus Dialogues” will take place on 27 October at the Polish Academy of Sciences – Scientific Centre in Rome. The focus of the first event will be Polish-Italian cooperation in the field of biomedicine. The conference is co-organised by the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the Research Council of Italy (CNR) with a strategic partnership of the Maj Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Sciences. Polish Science Contact Agency will provide information on joint research funding opportunities of the Horizon Europe.

Integration of SSH and societal/policy impact within Biodiversa+ calls 2023 & 2024

On Friday, June 16 the Polish Science Contact Agency PolSCA of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels and the National Science Centre, Poland held an online information session aiming to introduce new calls to be launched by the Biodiversa+ European Partnership under Horizon Europe framework programme in September 2023 and 2024, as well as to highlight some important aspects to be considered by potential applicants.

New Programme Council of the Polish Science Contact Agency PolSCA

In March 2023, Prof. Marek Konarzewski – President of the Polish Academy of Sciences and former Chairman of the Programme Council of PolSCA – appointed a new Programme Council for the Polish Science Contact Agency “PolSCA” of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels for a term of 2023 – 2026.

The next V4 Training for Research Project Managers (Spring 2023 edition) starts tomorrow!

On 29 March starts the three-day V4 Training for Research Project Managers, which takes place regularly every six months in Brussels. Once again, we have invited 35 participants from each Visegrad Group country and IGLO (Informal Group of RTD Liaison Offices) associated countries, including 7 people from Poland.

Science: Polish Perspectives Meetup 2023 Brussels is already behind us!

On March 9-10, 2023, for the first time in Brussels the Science: Polish Perspectives Meetup was held! SPP Meetup Brussels was a joint initiative of the Polonium Foundation, Polish Science Contact Agency “PolSCA”, the Brussels Office of National Centre of Research and Development – Business & Science Poland, end the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Belgium. The organizers were united by the common goal of gathering representatives of the Polish scientific diaspora from the Benelux countries.
