The Academies of Sciences of the Visegrad countries took part in the public consultation on EU funds in the area of investment, research & innovation, SMEs and single market and elaborated the position paper on Framework Programme 9.

Study Visit of the representatives of the Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Paris
On February the 28th and March the 1nd PolSCA hosted dr hab. Macieja Forycki, the director of the Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Paris with collborators: Aneta Bassa, Katarzyna Kula, Robert Górski and Ernest Marcinkiewicz. The visit was the opportunity to present activities of both entities and discuss future common projects.

The European Commission has opened a consultation on EU funds in the area of investment, research & innovation, SMEs and single market.
Consultation period: 10 January – 8 March 2018.
Target group:
All citizens, organisations and stakeholders with an interest and/or involvement in issues related to investment, entrepreneurship, research, innovation and SMEs are welcome to respond to this consultation.

Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
On January 1, 2018, a decade after its accession to the EU, Bulgaria took over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU for the first time.
“For six months (January – June 2018 ) Bulgaria will be the main driving force for the tasks on the agenda of the European Union, it will perform the functions of an honest mediator, a political leader, a representative and a coordinator. “
