Do you seek for research funding opportunities to carry out your dream project in the international partnership? Are you aware of wide range of European funding schemes that can help you to achieve your scientific goals? In fact, there are plenty of such available at the national level, implemented either by NCN or NCBR!
Last week, during the PolSCA webinar on multilateral programmes on January 27, 2023, the representatives of the National Science Centre (NCN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) presented the current and upcoming calls’ portfolio of both funding agencies in regards to international calls for research projects, implemented in multilateral cooperation, especially under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. The experts explained thematic areas and formal requirements of each call as well as the eligible costs that applicants can include in their proposals.
The webinar gathered around 540 attendees, among which we hosted academics, research managers, innovators, NGOs, public bodies and entrepreneurs working in Polish entities. The webinar was delivered as a part of the PolSCA webinar series on Horizon Europe in the synergy with the PASIFIC programme.

LOOKING FOR INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS?
There are different ways of searching for new partners across Europe and beyond. Please learn about some of them:
- Almost all networks (Era-Nets, JPIs or European Partnerships) provide its applicants with a Partner Search Tool that can be found on their websites (check out the example of the CHANSE programme or Neuron calls (Neuron Cofund 2 Calls);
- For the calls being launched by European Partnerships it is worth to check out the partner search tools available under each call description at the Funding and Tenders Portal.
- There are many thematic brokerage events where you can present yourself and reach out to new people. Some of them are presented at the Polish National Contact Point webpage. There are some matchmaking meetings which give you the opportunity to register and present yourself on Partner Search even after the event (check out an example of Cluster 1 brokerage event).
- Prepare your own Expression of Intrests (EoI) presenting your field of expertise, experience (also in grant management), capacity of your organisation and your research interests. Send out your EoI among your contacts, publish it on the website and social media. You can also send it to PolSCA Office so we can distribute it across Europe through our partners. For some good examples please check out EoI example 1 and EoI example 2.
